Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition is now Available

Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition is now Available

Two years after release, the acclaimed fifth title in the Fallout franchise, Fallout 4, finally has a package that includes all downloadable content (DLC). The new release is called the Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition and it includes all six major DLC releases from the past two years.
Along with the Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition, Bethesda has already re-released the limited Pip-Boy Edition that was available when the game first released. The Pip-Boy Edition costs a bit more, and just like its earlier run, will be limited edition in nature. In a bid to make it even more exclusive – I like to think – Bethesda released it in North America, and at select retailers only.

Everything you get in the Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition

  • Fallout 4 – The base game sees the player, an army veteran, go on a hunt to find his kidnapped son and avenge his wife. His journey takes him across the Commonwealth Wasteland where he makes stunning realisations about the time that he was ‘frozen’.
  • Automatron – The first bit of DLC to come to the Commonwealth consists of a series of quests that ultimately lead to building and customising your own robots.
  • Wasteland Workshop – the second “expansion pack” to be released includes only items and new objects for the Workshop mode within the base game. It features new structures and cages for captured beasts and enemies.
  • Far Harbor – possibly the biggest DLC to come to the game. Far Harbor is considered the third expansion and follows the Sole Survivor as he and Detective Nick Valentine travel to Far Harbor. It adds an entirely new playable area with new power armour, weapons, and items.
  • Contraptions Workshop – another “expansion pack” that adds nothing more than objects for Workshop mode. It includes prefabricated buildings and manufactories that can produce equipment and items.
  • Vault-Tec Workshop – finally, a workshop DLC that is worthy of its expansion title. Here, the Sole Survivor gets a radio beacon from Vault 88, an unfinished fallout shelter. It adds the ability to grow and build your own shelter, much like a full-fledged version of the mobile Fallout 4 game, Fallout Shelter. It also adds a quest line that focuses on the Vault 88 overseer, Barstow.
  • Nuka-World – The last expansion to release for Fallout 4. It takes the Sole Survivor to a pre-war amusement park where the player can choose to join a raider’s band to defeat the greater evil, or to retake the amusement park for all the Commonwealth to enjoy.
The Fallout 4: Game of the Year Pip-Boy Edition includes everything you can expect from the Game of the Year Edition, as well as a Pip-Boy Replica and stand, a pocket guide, and a Perk Poster.
