Super Mario Odyssey REVIEW: More amazing news for Nintendo Switch owners
EDGE isn’t known for dishing out perfect scores very often, having awarded fewer than 20 in its more than 20 year history.
However, it’s not the first Mario game to receive a perfect score, with Mario 64 and both Galaxy games getting 10 out of 10.
This Donkey Kong surprise is set against the backdrop of New Donk City, which is where Pauline resides as Mayor.
Retro gaming fans will recall that Pauline was captured by Donkey Kong in the classic arcade game.
The new trailer – which can be seen below – also gives fans a look at some of the things Mario can capture with Cappy. This includes a tank, Bullet Bills, Cheep Cheeps and lowly Goombas.
Express Online recently went hands-on with Super Mario Odyssey and preview some of the new game worlds, including the Cap Kingdom, Luncheon Kingdom and Seaside Kingdom. And it’s in the Seaside Kingdom where one of the best Super Mario boss fights of all time takes place.
It all revolves around a giant octopus that has bottled up the kingdom’s famous sparkle water.
The battle takes place over the entire stage and requires Mario to capture the local wildlife to succeed.
